Flickr plugin

I installed the Flickr plugin via SPART... (don't make me spell it!)

The sidebar showed a message about installing a Flickr API so I clicked it and downloaded it. I added the Flickr directory in bundled-libs then upload the API file there.

Went to bog and it was completely unformatted and no side bar. So I went back into the admin screen to disable the plugin but the plugins only listed to the one before the flickr plugin (and all event ones were missing).

I had to delete the plugin via mySQl to get blog working.

So, how can I get flickr working in the sidebar?

Also is i possible have a plugin show outside of the sidebar? I would like to have the plugin but get the pics (thumbs) in the top right of blog header instead (MT Plan Jane temp).

Thanks! (we noobs are so demanding!!!)

Btw I have v.8 installed.

I sadly don't know much about the flickr plugin as I have not yet used it. You may need to make sure the flickr bundled-lib thing is put into the root of bundled-libs/ and not in its own directory.

You may also try to look if you've installed teh PEAR Cache_Lite lib?

You can show plugins outside of the sidebar with Smarty templating. Read http://www.s9y.org/78.html and http://www.s9y.org/44.html and http://www.s9y.org/43.html please.

I've read the pages in question and managed to get a test output from another plugin. Can't do the Flickr one as I've tried 3 times and get broken blog page. It does the main entries then ends on a <div> for flickr (looks like the code gets cut short?).

Who maintains the Flickr plugin?

Thanks, Darren

yustmenu: Please read the README file of the plugin. You need to install the FLICKR PHP plugin file manually.
