very short url

Hello,
I installed a new blog to use it as a possibility for short-urls in printings, phonecalls, etc.

I have a domain robertlender.info with a subdirectory "robi" (fictional). I got a new domain robi.at.

So I would like to have URLs like http://robi.at/card

Now, I have URLs like http://robi.at/archives/card.

My question is, how can I delete "archives" from the URL.

In another posting Garvin meant, that one word article names with no %id% ist not good. If it is true also for 1.4.1: How can I create (rewrite commands in .htaccess?) this short urls.

Thanks in advance
Robert

Hi!

Deleting "archives" from the URL will create trouble, especially for pagination. Serendipity currently requires a fixed directory name.

Garvin

Sadly ;)

It should be the purpose of my new "service" to have very short URLs. I think, there could be a possibility by using .htaccess to

redirekt every robi.at/title call to robi.at/archives/title.

Mhh, any ideas from anybody? :-)
