Welcome back, _____(blank), then there are no options.

figured the upgrade opion would be in this area after I couldn't find it anywhere else. I'm trying to upgrade 'cause I thought it may fix the New Entry WYSIWYG problem I'm having. I could see the options for font color and other thing my first couple of posts, but now all I see is this.Image.
Even though My settings show I have the proper selection. *and notice there are no advanced optionsImage

I'm logged in as the Root administrator. Not sure what to do, please help.

Hi!

Advanced options only appear when you have installed a plugin that has content there (like the plugin "Extended options/properties for entries).

When you have those B, I and U buttons appearing in the entry interface that means your WYSIWYG options are not saved so that it's enabled. Go to your personak preferences and save the options again, with "WYIWYG" set to Yes?

Garvin

Thanks for the quick reply.

Do you mean through the 'personal settings' through the blog admin, just below 'frontpage' link? If so , i've tried that multiple times, even selecting no then selecting yes again(which I can't seem to do, every time I try that, it auto-reselects the yes option). I can't find any other place where I can choose wysiwyg options.

Is the Blog Admin frontpage supposed to be blank like that with options only on the left sidebar?

Hi!

Hm, the option should get properly remembered. Have you tried a different browser to exclude browser trouble?

The "Welcome back, ..." is supposed to contain your name. Check your personal prefs, did you maybe omit your name there?

Also, the blog admin should contain a linklist on the right hand side, but your screenshot is capped there?

How did you install Serendipity? If it's a fresh install with no content, I suggest you to download the recent release 1.4.1 and use that instead. Clear all your database tables first, then delete serendipity_config_local.inc.php and then upload the release to your web so that you can install from scratch.
