I Fedora 9 running my blog

I tried upgrading to 1.4 from 1.3
Once it started running it failed to show the picture's associated with the entries. The entries themselves were listed.
Two sidebar plugins Sunrise/sunset and Gogglemap were reported with a problem.

I restored the original 1.3 and it once again pulled in the pictures. I'd removed the two sidebar plugins while it was running 1.4 and to my surprise they were dropped from 1.3 when I reestablished 1.3

if this a problem is 1.4 or just with my setup?

Hi!

Serendipity does not really support downgrading without restoring the original database. You should reupgrade to 1.4. Actually, the images should not disappear, if you can give us a link to your blog we might be able to find out what's happening.

Regards,
Garvin

I'm not sure what you mean here. I "did" restore to 1.3 and it recovered the database (except for the sidebars) that I had tried to recover with 1.4 installed.

It's a cycling website thus the name "www.weweartights.org"

I'll give it another shot at upgrading to 1.4

In s9y installation instructions there is no mention of setting file permissions. This is always an issue isn't it. I know from my own experience that I've had to use the linux commands (chown) and (chmod) on the installed s9y files to get things working
