a little Bug:

if you upload a picture and use it, like 'pic.gif'. it will be coded as 'pic..gif' (2 dots ?!)

If you get this, then your thumbnail creation fails. Thumbnail creation can fail if you have neither gdlib nor imagemagick installed.
