New phpBB version installed
Hey guys,
just wanted to let you know that I just upgraded the software powering these message boards. It is now running on phpBB3, looks a little different, but should work as good as the old forum. Even better, actually, as it has a lot more features than phpBB2.
Anyways, if something does not work for you (don't get activation/notification emails, can't post, ...) please contact me here in this thread or directly via my email address: jannis, at, gmail, dot, com.

Hi!
The boardindex can always be reached through the top link "Serendipity Forums" in the header?
About the german lang file, I'll see if I can upload this. There are also some other tweaks I want to make to the template, once I get the access back from Jannis
Regards,
Garvin

I'd be glad if there was the possibility to select German language.

Re: New phpBB version installed
I kind of liked the profile info on the right, but it looks like that has been changed....
I also think you should reduce the padding on li.row a bit.... these, of course, are IMHO. Great job creating the template Garvin!

Hi!
Hehe. I'm more the "habbit-driven" type, and I couldn't bear having the profiles so differently aligned - it just screwed with my perception.
I added some padding because before everything looked so tight to me...don't you think having it a bit more "breathing" is better? What do others thing? How much should it be reduced?
Best regards,
Garvin

I don't care, if the profile is left or right. But I like it much more with some more padding like it is now. It's easier to read. Nevertheless I would like to have a breadcrumb menu before and after the postings.
I think the new board is e bit slower than the old one.
Hmm, where are the smilies gone? do they have holidays?

Personally, I find it harder to "see" new threads and posts. Might need more time to get used to the new look, though :)

Hi!
Hm, seems like the username quotes do not work.
yellowled: I always use the "New posts" links (highlighted in the upper left corner in the startpage) that shows me which entries have new posts. Also, they should be highlighted in yellow...

Re: New phpBB version installed
BBCode is off at least for normal user. There are also no smilies ;-(.
Breadcrumbmenu: Index - Board A - Thread XYZ
I like these menus because I can directly go to the index or the board.

Hi!
I think this is a personal preference thing, did you check your User control panel? The global s9y configuration says all is enabled!
About the breadcrumb, sadly I'm not experienced enough to do that template modification, as I don't know the variables etc. :-/

Garvin

Re: New phpBB version installed
BBCode is enabled and works in other forums. It seems, that it is disabled only for this forum.
