help needed for suPHP configuration, embedding gallery

Hi,
Recently i switched my site from mamboserver to serendipity. I could make use of the rss import to get all the article into my blog.
Now i am trying to embed gallery or coppermine (i don't care sich one). I was reading Garwins nice instructions but came to the poiint that my hoster lunar pages does not love the "auto append value thing". in the .htaccess file
So i found this post http://www.lunarforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20444 telling me i should use suPHP to configure.
I am using the mode rewrite function of apache and it works perfect. so perfect that even i try to go to my gallery http..../gallery it will show me (of course) the front page.
Is there anyone who has some experience or knowledge about embedding gallery or coppermine using this suPHP or is running serenpidity + gallery at lunarpages?
