Captcha Plugins expects something different

Hello,

yesterday I found my s9y was refusing the captchas I inserted several times. This was a new behaviour. Today I updated from 1.3.1 to 1.4.1 but the behaviour is still available. Interestingly enough at least some other people which write comments to my blog don't have any problems. And I can comment other s9y blogs using captchas.

In my blogspamblock.log I find lines like this:

Code: Select all

[2009-01-24 17:17:56] - [REJECTED: Captcha ungültig (Eingegeben: 3CJMN, Erwartet: )]
Entering nothing in the captcha field just leads to this:

Code: Select all

[2009-01-24 17:18:44] - [REJECTED: Captcha ungültig (Eingegeben: , Erwartet: )]
I run s9y on FreeBSD7 using PHP 5.2.6 and Apache 2.2.9 and can provide more information if neccessary.

I'm still not quite sure if this is a s9y-problem or a dyfa-problem or a combination. ;-)

Hmm. Cookies (maybe just for your own blog)? Browser cache? Are you logged in while this happens? If so, could you tried it without being logged in for testing purposes? If not, you could try it while being logged in and see what happens?

(Just guessing.)

Hi,

it happened to be a dyfaproblem. I removed all cookies and cleaned the cache und restarted the browser and everything was fine.
The funny thing is, I already did that a few days ago, before I backupped my homedirectory. Strange. Something's completely depolarized here.
I was confused by the error message in the logfile, because I did not think of "cookies".

Thanks for your help. :-)
