I'm trying to use the mod_rewrite to have friendly URL but I get some problems.

Serendipity is installed under website.com/blog

Once activated the mod_rewrite, the template seems to be lost and all articles goes to a blank page

Here is my .htaccess file

# BEGIN s9y
ErrorDocument 404 /blog/index.php
DirectoryIndex /blog/index.php
php_value session.use_trans_sid 0
php_value register_globals off

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /blog/
RewriteRule ^(archives/([0-9]+)-[0-9a-z\.\_!;,\+\-]+\.html) index.php?/$1 [NC,L,QSA]
RewriteRule ^(authors/([0-9]+)-[0-9a-z\.\_!;,\+\-]+) index.php?/$1 [NC,L,QSA]

Hi!

You have made sure that Apache's mod_rewrite is enabled? To me this sounds as if simply your server doesn't support it?

Regards,
Garvin

I'll check with the admin but they told me that it has been activated.
