Thanks for the offer ctuga! Much appreciated. European or Brazilian Portuguese? Serendipity has both as core language, but a quick glance I just made suggests one is more current than the other. Perhaps we could get you the language files for the upcoming 1.4 release, and you could compare those to the english language files to see what needs to be added in the 2 Portuguese files, unless another developer here already knows them to be complete.

Another option for you would be to provide a Portuguese translation for the Bulletproof template, as that will be the default template beginning with serendipity 1.4.

Hi!

Those language strings come from plugins, in this case the serendipity_event_entryproperties plugin. Check the plugins/serendipity_event_entryproperties/lang_en.inc.php file and add your own lang_pt.inc.php file (or whatever translation you want to adapt) to translate that string.

HTH,
Garvin

Thanks garvinhicking
But it's on the plugin folder/serendipity_event_staticpage.
I have to translate every thing to portugues, because there is no pt.inc on the folder.

I've translated this script on attachment to my native language but can't get it to work in Portugues European we have some strings like this ones (ç, ão,á ) but not showing strings like it should.
I'v add the translated file to serendipity_event_staticpage folder and the UTF-8 followed some instructions in http://www.s9y.org/46.html but seems i'm not doing it well.
Can y please help?
thanks.

Hi!

Your file is in ISO-8859-1 encoding, but if you overwrite the file in the "UTF-8" subdirectory, it needs to be saved as "UTF-8" format. You should be able to instruct your editor to save files in UTF-8 charset. If you have the option, choose "UTF-8 NO BOM".

Garvin

Hi,

I add that there is a translation tool for serendipity and all its plugins. It manages all the stuff around encoding automatically so you don't need to bother with it.

You can download it from
http://php-blog.cvs.sourceforge.net/vie ... slator.jar

or the newest version from
http://vlada.ajgl.cz/archives/170-Seren ... lator.html
