Cannot write to directory /homepages/37/d260292758/htdocs/app260943053//plugins/. Please check the permissions.

Do any body know what the hell does this means. I was trying to add a contactform event plugin and this error message came up. I would also like to add other static pages linking from my main menu. Thanks

It looks like you've got a provider-installed version of Serendipity with heavily restricted permissions. That error means that Serendipity is not allowed to copy the plugin to the appropriate directory; it can't be installed.

If you've got control of the directory permissions, simply allow Serendipity to write to that directory. If not, you'll have to talk with your provider.
