Hi All,
Sorry for this n00b post, but I don't seem to be able to find out anything about this issue anywhere!
We've got our blog set up, we are posting entries just fine. When it comes to comments, however... You click on comments, then it takes you to a password screen? We just want Joe Random to be able to post comments...is that a problem? 'Allow comments on this entry' is enabled for all entries.
What are we doing (that is probably really simple) that is stopping the public posting comments on our entries?

Hi!
It seems that you used firefox3 or so to create your blog entries. FF3 has the nasty habit of auto-filling in your login password into any password input field it sees.
However, when creating an entry, the password input field is meant to password-protect your entries. Because FF3 inserted your own password into that field, s9y thought that you wanted to protect this entry.
You will now need to re-edit each blog article and clear the password field in the Advanced Properties section, and re-save the articles. Then the passwords should go away.
For future articles, make sure that the password field is not auto-completed. You might want to check/ask the firefox support, how to prevent this behaviour. I myself have disabled the auto-filling because of this.

The "Secure Login" plugin fixes this problem as well.
