I cannot reach the admin menu what would be the reason ?

Please be more specific, what happens when you open the URL? Did you try to open http://yourdomain/serendipity_admin.php directly? Maybe you installed s9y with enabled URL Rewriting but your server does not support that. Then you cann access the admin panel with that URL and reconfigure s9y to not use URL rewriting.
