Serendipity Online Repository - all errors

I am using .8 beta.

When I attempt to use any new sidebar plugin from the Serendipity Online Repository, I receive install errors.

For example: Please check the permissions.Error: serendipity_plugin_amazon:3fda5a3b041b69aca82f2b55425faadd (serendipity_plugin_amazon)


Is this related to the beta release?

This error means that Serendipity could not write to your plugins directory. chmod /plugins/ to 0777 for it to be writable to the webserver user.
