Category icons?

Is there a plugin to put icons for categories next to the posts (eg. slashdot has 'icons' on right of each post).

No, there's no plugin for that, but it's integrated functionality. Just go to the categories admin manager screen and choose a category image there. I think it's in since serendipity 0.7, but surely it's in 0.8.

I'm so used to 0.7 I never checked it was in categories since I upgraded to 0.8!
Working, just need to tweak the theme now.

You'll need to edit templates/kubrick/entries.tpl

I have selected an image for a category, but it is not showing up. Does that have something to do with the template? I am using the excellent Competition entry by David Cummins powered by Serendipity v1.0. Thanks.

In the temporaryTheme by David we havedisabled the category icons. It will be enabled for the final theme.
