i'm having trouble finding where this plugin picks up images. what is the path where you can put custom images?

Hi!

You mean inside the configuration of the plugin? There you need to enter the full absolute HTTP Path, starting after your hostname.

ahhhh.... yes.

i was using /templates/whatever instead of templates/whatever.
