Search difficulties/questions

Hello,

I have done extensive search through the forums but with no luck.

My difficulty is two parts, first when I use the quicksearch plugin module, I am unable to do a search by date, meaning, I cannot put in a search string of June 1, 2002 and get that blog entry back. This would be useful.

Secondly, I would like to be able to enter a URL link to the comment section of a given day, is this possible?

Hi!

Yes, the quicksearch does not offer a "search by date" function. This would be a good feature request, but date handling/parsing isquite often very difficult, as you never know what the user inputs. So maybe it's better to guide the user to the archives. Serendipitys has an "archives" plugin through which you can go to various date ranges.

comment sections are only available for entry detail views by default. A link to that would look like this:

This is the link that is also given when you click on "comments" below any entry.
