Static pages stopped working

I haven't been using my blog for a while. A few days ago I updated all my plugins. Today I found out that the only static page I have redirects to the main page, and that the configuration setting for static pages disappeared from the admin panel.

I tried to move the static pages plugin in the events part of the backend, but that didn't change anything. Then I upgraded to the last S9Y version (from 1.2 to 1.3.1), which worked flawlessly - but the static page option is still gone.

I'd try to remove and readd the plugin, but I'm afraid to lose my static page when I delete the plugin.

Any suggestions?

Hi!

Hm, this sounds very much like that the staticpage plugin is currently no longer installed. In the plugin configuration and the event section, do you still see the event plugin listed? If not, go to the "Click here to install an event plugin" link and re-add that plugin.

The staticpage plugin does not delete its database tables on reinstallation, so you should not loose your content. If you want to get sure, you could use phpMyAdmin to backup your serendipity_Staticpage DB table?

Garvin

Yes, the plugin was listed. I removed and added it again, now everything is fine. Sorry.
