I would like to personalize the emails that are sent for notification.
What I would like to do is to avoid that is displayed the name of the server.

Is it possible?

Thanks a lot

Hi!

Do you mean what exactly you mean with "name of the server"?

What you can do is edit the language constants "SIGNATURE" and "SUBSCRIPTION_MAIL" and "SUBSCRIPTION_TRACKBACK_MAL" inside your lang/serendipity_lang_XX.inc.php file (also in the UTF-8 subdir).

Hi Garvin.

So in the mail appear from "my domain name"
ie if my server is pippo.it when someone receives a comment it will be from pippo.it.hostingxxx and personally I don't like too much.

Maybe it is my problem I have just contacted my hosting support but I also would like to modify on serendipity files

Hi!

The sender mail adress can be adjusted in the Serendipity Configuration, "Blog's mail address".

If that does not work, it is a reason of your mail server and you must ask your mail server administrator if the address for your php mail() commands can be changed.

Hi!

There is no way for you to patch this, if it comes from your mailserver. s9y has no control over this. You can only patch the mailserver configuration to which you most likely will not have access.
ps any news about piclens?
I have not yet heard about anyone actually developing this plugin, so I have no news about this. I only know that it's technically quite possible and not too hard. :)
