Problem with RSS import

Hi:

I have a blog with more than 200 entries and I'm in the process to change to serendipity. I'm trying to import the entries through RSS generic import but only the title is imported, the body text is always empty. I've tried checking on and off some options, but always the same result.

Some insight? This is the feed (it's in Spanish)

Thank you very much for your time and help...

Hi!

I believe there was a bug in the RSS generic importer which assumed WPXRSS even though the option was not checked properly.

Can you please download this file and save it as include/admin/importers/generic.inc.php in your blog directory:

http://svn.berlios.de/viewcvs/*checkout ... ic.inc.php

A new s9y release is also pending due to this, I'm sorry for the inconvenience. :(

Best regards,
Garvin

What can I say? I'm speechless with the speed and generosity.

Thank you, thank you and thank you.

It works like a charm now, the problem now is that only imports the description, but that is a question of the rss structure, I'll see if it can be changed to show all the text...

Thanks again Garv... wow...

Hi!

I'm glad it works now. Also it annoys me that this bug is in the current release, so we need to do something about that quick. :)

As per your RSS feed, it really only contains the description. If you somehow manage to extract the rest, there should be a way to get it into the s9y database.

Which software is powering your page? Maybe you can draw the data directly from the database...

Regards,
Garvin

Hi again:

The software is Website Baker. Great script, really, only that right now it does not suit my needs.

I'm learning how a rss 2.0 file is made, but I can't make ir work, for now...

Thanks again.
