Hi,

does s9y offer an mechanism to exclude my own page views from the visitors count? (Some cookie that could be set).

Cheers

Hi!

No, the statistics plugin does not yet cover this exclusion.

Ok, thank you.

I think that might be worth to be put in a later version, just a "count myself" field in plugin configuration.

What do you think?

Cheers

Hi!

I honestly think that if your own visits make such a difference to your blog, your statistics might not be that important after all? ;)

Google Analytics also does not exclude yourself, and it's IMHO fairly common that statistical programs include the whole mass of people and do not distinct a lot...?

Garvin

Yes. At this moment I am doing many things with my blog, The book gives much ideas and I migrate my wiki to static pages in s9y.

I started the visitor count yesterday, I can show you the difference tomorrow.

Google Analytics is no reason for me ...

At this moment I use pphlogger to count my data and it excludes own visits, but it is outdated.

Visitors for yesterday.

pphlogger (excluding my visits): 126
serendipity: 308

That is three times more.
