How do I uninstall Serendipity?

I had a problem with my initial install (No toolbar above Entry Body on New Entry screen - likely among other problems). I (finally) downloaded a complete new version of Serendipity and FTP'd the files to my site and still no toolbars. Now I am thinking I should just uninstall Serendipity and install fresh from the beginning. How do I uninstall it?

Will my blog entries be lost? Or are they automatically saved? Or should I some how back them up?

I figured out how to export the feed, so I don't need an answer to that.

The missing toolbar problem can be fixed without reinstalling! Just give us answers in the other thread.
