Unable to download erendipity

I am having problems with my initial installation of Serendipity so I thought I would start all over and download the new release and re-install from the get go. However, since yesterday I have been trying to download and its not working. When I select the version (either zip or unzipped) the sourceforge.net window comes up, but it stays blank and only goes through partial download. It never finishes.
Are there problems with the download servers?
