Shoutbox plugin and spam

I really like the shoutbox plugin but have now had it hit with a load of spam. Is there any posting security available for this to stop bots, or use captcha with it?

Sadly not.
But I believe there are javascript based shoutboxes available that you can install using normal HTML nuggets, which offer that kind of security.
Sadly I don't use them myself, so I can'T give you any exact links.
