Set Default Font and Color of text in posts. is this possible? so i dont have to set it every time i post a message

You should change default font and color with the Frontend Template CSS code, and usually not always change it per new post.
The frontend's style.css is responsible for defining fonts/sizes/colors of your entries - you should never abuse the <font> tag the WYSIWYG editor offers. This is only meant to be used on single words or paragraphs, never that you use it to style the whole entry.

Where is this file located and where in the file should this be changed?

The file is called 'style.css' inside your templates/XXX/ directory, where XXX is the name of your template.
To create your own template, create a new directory 'leonardb' and copy 'style.css' and 'info.txt' from your current template to that directory. Then edit info.txt and assign it your own name. Then edit style.css and set this CSS code at the end of the file:

This will affect the default look of your entries. Change it to whatever your defaults should be.

Leonard: Depending on your templates, you may need to change the .serendipity_entry_body and/or .serendipity_entry_extended classes as well
If you give me your URL, I can look at it and give you actual code for your site.
You want white background with #666666; color, small font size and "Trebuchet MS" as default font, right?
