Spartacus Error

I'm new to s9y. I installed the Spartacus plugin and it works fine for fetching and installing sidebar plugins, but whenever I click on "Check for new Event Plugins" or "Click here to install new event plugin", I get an error message like this:

Fetched 257028 bytes from the URL above. Saving file as /xxx/xxxx/xxxx/blog/templates_c/package_event_en.xml...
Data successfully fetched.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 512 bytes) in /xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/blog/plugins/serendipity_event_spartacus/serendipity_event_spartacus.php on line 197

This is a fairly new installation and I've got plenty of server space. I set the permissions for the plugins folder to 775 (I tried 777 and that didn't work either). I can't figure out what is going on.

Thanks in advance

Hi!

this sadly simply means your webserver has too little RAM (NOT disk space!) for you to install more plugins.

You will either need to remove other event/sidebar plugins before you install new ones, or you will need to ask your provider to raise the PHP memory_limit option for you.
