Take a look at http://www.websmuggler.com/blog2/

you will notice that there are two headers one small text on the top with date and authors name then in larger letters again right below it. this is a unmodified carl template and for the life of me I cant figure out how to get this header on the top to disappear.

any suggestions or area's to look to shed this issue.?

well http://www.websmuggler.com/blog2/index. ... -laid.html

is the right url. you will notice in the blue there is another link with that information put up on it. but if you view the blog from the main page you will see that the webpage it will disappear when viewing any article.

Still trying to figure out why it is showing up on the thumbail version only

Hi!

The first header is actually the "banner" of your blog. The second one below it is the entry title. So that's normal.

Usually, in the top banner you see the title of your blog. But you did not enter a title in the blog, so the display on extended pages is different for you.

Check http://blog.s9y.org/archives/189-German ... ellen.html -- you will see that the title once shows up in the header, and once at the usual place for the entry title. This is usual behaviour for blogs.

If you want to change that, you need to edit the index.tpl file of your template and change the variables that are shown inside the <div class="serendipity_banner"> block.
