V 1.2.1
The s9y resize tool in on the Media Page simply doesn't function "for me"
I enter one value and the function determines the other value. I execute the change and it returns to the previous size

Hi!
Do you use imagemagick or gd? Is the file you want to resize writable?
When you execute the change, do you get the javscript popup that warns you that this action cannot be made undone?

yes
As to the 1st question I'm not sure what they are. "imagemagick or gd"
These are photos that I upload using "Add Media"
I use to run a earlier version of s9y utill that system crashed. I use to simply upload and if necessary downsize the pictures if and when needed.
I'm also not sure that the option to increase the number of photos I can display is working. It may be the case that I do not have enough photos in the directory to test this feature
directory with s9y file has been chmod 1777 permission
directories: archives, temporary_c, upload and plugins have 1777 permissions
I also notice that after decreasing or rather attempting to decrease the size of a photo s9y reports the new size in the boarder of the picture...but the size in the Media Library is the same as it was. ALSO the thumbnail size reports the Original size of the photo.

Hi!
You can check your s9y global configuration and see if you have "imagemagick" enabled there or not.
If you upload a new image, does serendipity automatically create a thumbnail?
If not, it means neither GDlib is available on your server, nor imagemagick. You need to install/compile one of that (only the server provider can do that) to be able to use thumbnails.

ok
I found the setting in the configuration and "convert" was installed on the system.
I don't recall having to make this setting on my previous version of s9y
The 1st picture I uploaded to test after configuration came up in the Media Library in only a "thumbnail" size along side the previous photos I had on the system?
I don't like thumbnails but I guess I can live with them
thanks for your support
