Spamblock won't display Captcha

Hi there!

I installed a guestbook that claims to be using Spamblock captchas if Spamblock is activated. So I installed and activated Spamblock. It's set as very first event plugin. But no captchas are being used...

Any help greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Inki

Hi!

Are you logged in as superuser/admin? Captchas are only shown for non-logged in users.

I have a completely different problem. I have the same configuration like inki. But in my blog the captchas are displayd even when I disable that feature in the configuration of the guestbook plugin.

Anyway, the much bigger problem is that the guestbook entrys get blocked even when you type in the right code. Everything works fine with the contactform plugin. What am I doing wrong?

The spamblocklog says every single time: Captcha ungültig (Eingegeben: 7erx, Erwartet: )

I am currently using Serendipity 1.2.1 on PHP 4.4.7 with a slightly modified Andreas08 s9y v2.0 template by Carl Galloway and Andreas Viklund. The problem appeared before I modified the template.

Hi!

The guestbook template files are unmodified, and you'Re running the latest version of it?

Can you dump your configuration of the guestbook plugin (copy+paste, screenshot, DB dump - something like that) and of the spamblock plugin?

I am using the latest version of the guestbook have updated the template files just to have it aligned like my other sites. Anyway, I have already tried it with a completely unmodified template as well - same result.

I guess posting dumps or screenshots here would blast the forum... :-) Would it help you if I give you temporary access to the admin tool of my blog? I would send you username and pw via pm.

Yes, that would make the whole process a bit faster.

I'm offline tomorrow, though and might not find the time for that until Tuesday...

No problem, I'm not in a hurry... PM is on its way! Thanks a lot!

By the way, I have tried the forum-plugin. As well as with the contact-plugin captchas work perfectly there. So it seems to be related to the guestbook-plugin.

Finally Garvin found my mistake. I have two domains linking to the same blog. It seems that this confused the captchas. Garvins solution to this issue is to only use one domain for the blog or to configure s9y with the option "autodetect used http-host". The second solution worked fine!
