lost admin details

i installed serendipidy a while ago and more or less forgot about it.
today i went to add and entry and discovevered my user name and password did not work (or rather the ones i "THINK" i used)
is here a recover password option available?

Hi!
No, you must set a new password inside the "serendipity_authors" database table, with a tool like phpMyAdmin.
There is a recover password plugin, but you would have needed to install that when you still knew your password/username

thanks for the reply.
i think my easiest option is going to be a deletion of the folder and reinstall.
far quicker than learning how to use phpadmin
can i request a lost password option for a new version please

There's a plugin for that you can install the next time
Password recovery is always a loss of security, thus I'm not in favor of adding this to the default serendipity core.
