shared installation help

I think I want to use a shared installation-

I will have a single website.
There will be about 8 separate web pages, each with a unique topic.
Serendipity blog will be embedded in each of the 8 pages.
i want to esstentially have a seperate blog for each web page/topic.

Is this a good application for Serendipity? If not, do you have any suggestions for a better software/script application?

Is a shared installation the right application of Serendipity?
Is there a plain language tutorial on how to set this up? (I know HTML, I have set up some simple web sites. I'm a rank amateur to PHP and mysql. I do not know unix/linux.)

I think that is a workable approach. However if you want to go with one single blog with different "default categories" you could solve this without shared install and just live with embedded mode usage or some minor PHP adjustments to either your Template or Plugin.

However without knowledge with Unix/Linux and Apache webservers, you will not get far with a shared installation, as you need some knowledge for that. I f you need a "Multi Blog" Installation with point and clicking, I only know MoveableType which supports that easily. I think sunlog or Nucleus also supports this, but they lack in many other areas.
