Hi! I'm a newbie for s9y and I have a question: is it possible to make comments posting with openid authentication? I've found such plugin (OpenID Authentication) but it's not exactly what I want or i'm wrong?

Hi!

Yes, the openID plugin should do that. What exactly is your problem with it? The plugin is still in development phase, not many people are yet using it.

Plugin is installed, but nothing happens when I enter some openid data on login page. After identification (on livejournal for example) is confirmed, script redirects me to serendipity_admin.php again, there is the same form and I can comment only as anonymous.

Hi!

Okay. Maybe if you change the topic of this posting, someone with openid knowledge can actually reply.

A suitable topic would be "OpenID plugin: How does it work?".

IIRC, it's not exactly possible to use an OpenID for posting comments only, i.e. replacing the name/email/url form fields with a single OpenID field. You can use OpenID to log into S9y, but only in combination with a user account. Correct me if I'm wrong.

This is correct. For the initial release of the plugin, I limited the functionality to just replacement of login and/or usage of blog as openid by means of delegation. The goal with the initial release was really to add the authentication integration capability into s9y and be able to at least use it with openid. The hope is that someone would take over development of the plugin to add the additional functionality, or my time greatly frees up to allow me to work on all the projects I'd like to :)
