Strange question.
I'd like to have a serendipity logo like this one on my coffee mug :-D

Were could I find it in a better resolution?

That logo was originally created by Martin Jacobsen, and given to Garvin as an Illustrator .ai file. Martin is also the author of the Bar Sinister template. You could email him for the original file. His website is http://www.hastalasiesta.org

I've got a reply from Martin; looks like he doesn't have the file no more.

So I hope Garvin has it somewhere. It might be a good idea to store it somewhere on s9y.org for downloads ;-)

My other half still has a version of the original .ai file from when we did the template for the s9y site, but this was given to us by Garvin at the time. I'll happily post this on my site for you to download if Garvin gives the OK. Unfortunately we're talking about an image that doesn't belong to us, it belongs to the project so I need to get Garvin's permission. You reading this Garvin?

Hi!

IF you have the file handy, providing it for download somewhere would be nice. Please post only as a PNG or JPEG (not the vector raw file), maybe at a suitable resolution like so that a 300dpi print version could be done in, say letter size? (about 20cm wide?)

Then people could print it on mugs, t-shirts, g-strings or bodybags... ;)

I'd like to prevent the vector file from being freely available to prevent abuse, I know that Martin Jacobsen was quite reluctant of people modifying the logo.

Regards,
GArvin

This would be nice.

I really can't do nothing with a vector file because I'm not a designer and don't have software which can read such files.

jpg or png would be great :-) Thank you.

OK, we've gone completely Mac, our windows laptop is just our TV and used for testing templates, and the other half is really getting into Inkscape so we haven't bothered buying the mac version of Adobe Suite, I'll have to download the trial version of Illustrator and export the original to png, unless someone else has Illustrator (d_cee maybe) and would be willing to convert and then host the image. Otherwise you're looking at a few days before I can do anything.

Looks like things are more difficult than I've expected. It's not an important thing, just nice to have.

Thank you all.

Carl - you can email me the illustrator file and I can try to open it in photoshop, then save it to png, jpg, eps, or whatever. I'm not sure if I want to host the file though.... but maybe if it is converted, Garvin would consider hosting it on s9y.

I'll email it to you tomorrow, I can host it, that's no problem, but it might be best if it's hosted on the s9y wiki or blog, at least that way it's more accessible to people who would logically expect it to be here.

Agreed.
