Do you use the event plugin weblogping? There you can see which sites are pinged and add your own ones.
You can also choose which sites get a ping, when you post an article.

Hi Maccsta!
Please remove the links in your footer, they are both offensive to usual visitors, and simply too many. You are actually looking like a spammer this way.
Best regards,

No I'm not using any extra plugins for pinging. I want to know if there is any inbuilt pinging.
Does serendipity ping any sites by default when I publish a post and if so which sites?
Thanks

Hi Maccsta!
To elaborate on kleinerChemiker: There's no inbuilt pinging. But the pinging plugin comes with Serendipity, you simply need to activate it.
