Popfetcher 1.20 dies in body with german umlaut

Hi,

after the unsuccessful attempt to blog directly via my Nokia E90 Browser I'm searching for an alternative.

I've decided myself for popfetcher, which looked very good to me. Works fine but it seems to have a problem with the german umlaute.

This is my mail to the blog:

Code: Select all

--EPOC32-dPwQscx+RvHXLpFNrb2TlphFpGCzQ5g+HqW-FTXf3rZ6yTS1
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
Content-Disposition: inline
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

Nachdem das E90 von Nokia jetzt ausf=C3=BChrlich getestet ist, muss ich =
nat=C3=BCrlich meine M=C3=B6glichkeiten erweitern.
Der interne Browser ist nicht so ganz Java f=C3=A4hig weshalb das Bloggen =
dar=C3=BCber erstmal ausf=C3=A4llt. Also versuche ich das ganze jetzt per =
Mail.

Ein Bild f=C3=BCge ich auch direkt mal ein. Mal sehen wie das Ergebnis =
wirkt.
The "=C3=" comes out as ΓΌ in the mail.

But when I do an import in s9y, this is the result:

Code: Select all

Nachdem das E90 von Nokia jetzt ausf
Anyone here who had the same problem? Or could this also be an issue with my Nokia?
My blog uses UTF-8 so I thouhght it should fit to the mailsystem.

Thanks
Jan

Hi!

I believe the trouble is the "quoted-printable" encoding. The popfetcher uses the PEAR mimeDecode facility, which does not seem capable of recoding qp-encoding.

I'd like to fix that. Can you please send a mail in your exact format to mail at garv punkt in?

Regards,
Garvin

To get you all updated:

Thxs to Garvin, who found the bug in the script. He updated it to version 1.21 and now even UTF-8 does work.

Thanks again, man!
