Antispam Behavior

I was getting a moderate amount of trackback and comment spam.
I signed up for, and added the Akismet API key to the spamprotector plugin.
I haven't received ANY since then, and I wanted to check to see if something might have been tagged as spam. (Sorta a check to see if it's working thing)
Is there someplace I can view it? The Akismet setting is set to reject.

Hi!
If you set it to reject, your comments are rejected and not stored anywhere. Only if you enable the debug logging to database or to a file, you can view that database table or logfile and check what Akismet does withi ncoming omments.

Thanks. The database table was what I wanted to know. I was looking akismet's and wordpresses page for the blocked spam. (Don't ask me why, I just thought since I signed up for the account there, that's where the reporting would be)
So far, I've only gotten one spam since I've enabled it. When I checked the database, I see that the spammer tried multiple time, but only the first one got thru.
Hopefully this will keep the spammers at bay for a while.

I've set debug logging to database and found some hundred spam comments and trackbacks.
Are there stored there just for some days or for eternity

? And should I delete theme from time to time?

Hi!
Yes, they are stored for eternity, so you need to take out the trash from time to time on your own

I get a lot of trackback spam and would be glad if it will be deleted instead of being stored.
When I look into the spam config panel I can't find such an option (as I understand it I can only send every spam to nirvana, not only the trackbacks without Trackback-URLs).

Then you can use "Reject" instead of "Moderate" for your filters. (the "comments by by api"->reject)
