Future Posts

Post by Ennovative »

I tried creating a new post but only wanted it to publish 1/2 hour from now. So I manually entered the 'publish' time to be later, but when I publish it, the story immediately shows up on my front page.

Do I need to be using a plugin to make this work? I'm using 1.2 with Coffee Cup as the skin.

Thanks,

K

My understanding is that if you are logged in as admin then you will see your future entries, but site visitors shouldn't until the specified time.

that's what I thought too, but I signed out, and even viewed it with Explorer (which I never use) and my future entry shows there in all its glory.

Hi!

What carl said is sadly not true. :)

Check your s9y configuration and if you've set the box "Show future entries" to "Yes". This must be set to "no" if you want to hide future entries.

Have a look into
Administration/Configuration/Appearance and Options

Maybe "Show future entries" is set to "yes".
