Serendipity on Wikipedia

I've come across the Serendipity entry at Wikipedia and found it quite blank. So, I've added some.

Please add/edit more if what I added is not considered appropriate and not good enough.

Without exception, it is the best platform for blogging in the world. I've tried them all at some point :oops: but just can't shake free of my addiction.

Even now I still have it installed on my test server, you know just in case I decide to produce templates for it, but er, um, they're just too hard to get into, I mean who wants to deal with php when you can use smarty, and don't ask me how hard XML is for Blogger templates - but I get good traffic from them and a lot of those people become s9y users.

That was one of the point which finally got me into s9y - smarty templates. I actually think there is a point in PHP templates (I have seen some templates for that other blog engine I don't think could be ported easily), but smarty just makes these things so much easier for non-coders ...
