password protected access to serendipity and automatic login

Dear folks,

I am sure my question had been posted many times before. However, since I am not very advanced in technical issues, I do not even know the "correct words" I could use in the search function.

So, here we go:
I installed Serendipity on our server and it works fine. :)
Access to the serendipity-content should, however, be restricted to our team members.
I thought about restricting access via the .htaccess and .htpasswd. So the team members can login with their passwords. However, it would be annoying if they have to login a second time to serendipity.
Is there a possibility to "combine" the two logins?

Well, another idea is, if contents would only who up after logging in into serendipity. But, as far as I could find out, this is not possible. Am I right?

Hope to receive an answer from you soon.
Thank you in advance.

Yours
saxycb

No :)

You can use the event plugin "Extended properties for entries" (I think it's bundled with s9y) to create non-public entries. You can also hide those entries from the frontpage and/or RSS feeds, and protect them with a password.

Thanks for the hint. I didn't expect such functionalities in the plugin "extended properties for entries".
The standard configuration for blog-entries in our blog is now "only for co-authors". And it just works fine.

Cheers.
