Administrator - no controls / options visible in admin suite

Actually, I found Garvin's solution to someone else's problem and tried it with one mod for version 1.1.4 and it worked a treat. . .
If you're experienceing similar issues (and it seems like this is a common mistake for first time users) do a search in the forums for "fixrights.php"
Copy the code, paste it into a new text doc and save as "fixrights.php". If you're using version 1.1.4 you'll need to edit the php code to include "serendipity_config.inc.php" rather than "serendipity_config.php".
Upload the file to your serendipity directory and run it via your web browser and you should be good to go again, I was. . .
("serendipity_config.inc.php" might just be a quirk with my web host's setup, if the original code or the edit suggested here does not work for you, use an FTP client to look into your Serendipity directory and look for a file with a similar name and try that instead.)

Hi,
So I was going through my first install and config of Serendipity (1.1.4).
Things were going fine 'til I tried to remove myself (admin) from the list of authors visible on blog pages. Didn't know how to do it but tried setting "Forbid creating entries?" to "YES" and "Rights: Publishing entries?" to "NO".
Now when I'm logged in as Admin my admin suite frontpage is pretty much blank.
When logged in as a regular user if I select "Manage Users" I get the error. . .
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/s/e/a/seattleastro/html/include/admin/users.inc.php on line 188
And if I select "Manage Groups" I get the error
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/s/e/a/seattleastro/html/include/admin/groups.inc.php on line 54
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'd really rather fix it than uninstall and re-install.
Thanks,
John
