Configuring Google site search plugin

I like the Google the Site plugin as it searches in comments as well as text.
When I look at its configuration, I am invited to enter my Adsense details (I have Adsense too).
Could someone tell me why that is? What does the site search have to do with Adsense?
TIA
Margaret

Hi!
The adsense-ID uniquely connects the search with your google account, so that Google can see what people on your site search for. This can influence the ads placed on your page.
If on your page people search for "music" all the time (even though your blog is only about laws), your google adsense ads would then also display music advertisements.

Garvin,
Thanks. I would never have worked that out.
The export was really easy. Serendipity does seem to be an excellent program. I still have a problem at the MT end - I thought I had a directory there full of jpgs, but it's all html. So I thought I had some articles and images with these links:

http://www.margaret-marks.com/Transblaw ... echtsv.pdf
But they aren't there! Of course they are on my hard disk - somewhere - and all their names are now in Serendipity, in the entries.
In Serendipity, the few images I have are all in the 'uploads' directory, with their original names, but not in MT. Maybe I'm just being stupid when I look at MT - it wouldn't be the first time this week. But I intended to put them all in one directory for future use. It works for the time being.
