Hi,
s9y 1.2 rocks.
I LOVE the new "Bulletproof theme", but not for its looks ...lol
The very stylish theme that hits my eye is "Blue Streak" because of its use of icons from the Tango Project
http://tango-project.org/.
Well i would like me a theme with the features of Bulletproof and the Design of Blue Streak, respectivley with a wide use of the Tango Project icons.
Any volunteers ...lol?
Or perhpas anybody out there who'd like to help a theming starter on the way with a "how-to" or at least some hints?

Pretty simple:
1. Get a decent knowledge of (X)HTML
2. Get a decent knowledge of CSS
3. Start by customizing existing templates (or BP colorsets) to your liking
4. Get a decent knowledge of Smarty, maybe throw in some PHP
5. Read a lot, analyze existing templates, watch the Themes forum
That's basically it. Oh, some time wouldn't hurt

Bulletproof is really more of a framework to CREATE completed templates, rather than include them.
I like the tango icon pack, but I prefer the Nuvola icon pack better, which is what s9y uses in the backend. In fact, I used Nuvola icons for the bulletproof admin interface to be consistent with the rest of s9y.
Garvin (s9y's lead developer) created the template blue streak. Something tells me he is short on time and cannot port blue streak over to the bp framework, PLUS sprinkle in new icons.
Like YL said, start banging away at it - it could be a good learning experience!

C'mon, he managed to get the 36-hour-day done, he can easily upgrade to 48 hours a day

In fact I know somebody who claims to have had almost no knowledge in HTML/CSS/Smarty when he started his first s9y template project. Now that this project is more or less finished, he's become a true master in those disciplines, although he has yet to officially release his first "own" template
