Question about sitemap.xml.gz

I had to setup my blog http://esmeralda.eu.org/ again, since my old hoster produced broken backups. Now I am wondering, the url for the sitemap had changed. Did I configure something wrong, or is it correct, that there are 2 / between the sitemap-url, e.g http://esmeralda.eu.org//sitemap.xml.gz

The double slash is alright, it's the same if you use "//////////sitemap.xml.gz" or "/sitemap.xml.gz".
