Critical bug with FLICKR Plugin

When something goes wrong with the configuration of the FLICKR Plugin then you are not able to delete this plugin again and cannot access the blog anymore.

After I deleted plugins/serendipity_plugin_flickr I was able to delete the plugin at the plugin-configuration, but this was not so easy, because the files belonged to nobody.

BTW I don't know what I did wrong with the configuration. I created a FLICKR Services API Key as described, but entered no secret key for the connection, since I don't know how to get this. s9y is not listed with the blogs you can choose at flickr.

Hi!

What do you mean wiht "something goes wrong"? What happened?
After I deleted plugins/serendipity_plugin_flickr I was able to delete the plugin at the plugin-configuration, but this was not so easy, because the files belonged to nobody.
This happens if you do not setup the spartacus plugin with your proper permissions, and is depending on how the server assigns files to the web owner.
BTW I don't know what I did wrong with the configuration. I created a FLICKR Services API Key as described, but entered no secret key for the connection, since I don't know how to get this. s9y is not listed with the blogs you can choose at flickr.
You can get an application-unrelated flickr API key!

It'S been a long time since I applied for one, so I don't know the exact process. You might want to ask on the flickr forums on how to properly get a flickr api key...?

Garvin

Unfortunately I don't know the error message anymore. With the wrong configuration, I couldn't access the blog anymore, because the loading stopped with the error. IMHO a wrong or invalid configuration should not end in a result, that you cannot access the blog anymore.

I configured it as described with the plugin-configuration:

FLICKR API Key
Um dieses Plugin zu nutzen brauchen Sie Ihren eigenen FLICKR Services API Key via http://www.flickr.com/services/api/key.gne. Die Registrierung ist einfach und wird sofort ausgeführt.

FLICKR API Secret
The secret key is optional and allows for secure transmission of your data. You can get/configure the key via your Flickr profile page.

The key from http://www.flickr.com/services/api/key.gne I got immediately.

Hi!

Only the frontend should stop with an error, you should still be able to open the URL for your s9y backend to remove a plugin.
