Hi,
I just wanted to ask here what I have to do/look for if I want to move a serendipity blog from a domain to another domain. The new domain is on another server too. Can anybody tell me please the steps which I have to complete everything in a clean way.
Greets and best regards,
Dawn

Thanks for your fast answer as usual Garmin. I only looked in the "normal" documentation for information like this, so it's clear now.
I do the move for a customer. I've no access to the actual files. I tought I would use his exported database and do a fresh installation of serendipity and then reimport the db. Would that work too (instead of copying his files)? Do I have to look for something special?

Dawn

Hi!
Uh, without file access, this will get pretty messy. You will loose all uploaded media files, all extra plugins, all modified templates.
You can reimport the db though, yes. But that is only one part of serendipity.

Garvin
