Hi!

What Administration Configuration tool do you mean? What changes do you do?

The error message comes from your PHP server and tells you that the action that is being executed takes longer than the maximum time availabl (30sec).

In the administrator page I click the configuration link in order to change various options like data base password, blog title and etc and get the error massage after I click the check and save link. I am doing this through aplus.net control panel. I have an account on a windows server and have MS SQL data base. In the data base option I am offered LITE SQL and MY SQL, could this be the problem? I have had a lot of difficulties installing the blog also most the times get an error massage. CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.
I have no knowledge of PHP or data base handling. Is there any way to install the blog without going through the Aplus.net control panel? Is there a way to install the last (less boggy) version in the Aplus control panel? do other Aplus winows server custommers have had the same problem?I have spent 5 full days trying to install the blog and could use some serious help!!!

Hi!

Can you describe what you mean with "you are doing this trhough aplus.net control panel". What does that control panel look like, I have no aplus.net account and don't know what this could be, so a screenshot would be helpful.

On the administrator page, what options exactly do you change there?

If you get CGI errors, you must ask your Server provider to inspect the CGI/PHP error logs for you, there you should see more exact error messages

Ususally you should be able to install serendipity without any "Aplus.net control panel". For exact details you must ask your server provider, because maybe he offers a aspecial serendipity installation for you!

You might want to install serendipity on your own by downloading the serendipity release files and uploading them via FTP. Then you shouldn't need the aplus panel at all.
