I am trying to install on shared hosting with GoDaddy

I do not have access to the root. This is the string that has worked with other programs:

p41mysql9.secureserver.net . /home/content/l/i/b/libby86/html

This is the message I receive:
Could not connect to database; check your settings.
The mySQL error was: Unknown MySQL server host 'p41mysql9.secureserver.net . /home/content/l/i/b/libby86/html ' (1)

No error messages.

Hi!

That is a strange server connect string, I can't imagine this ever worked?!

Try "p41mysql9.secureserver.net" only. That path you enter there should be not relevant at all.

Garvin

I tried every combination without luck. I found a post from about 2 years ago who suceeded. I PM him but no reply yet.

Hi!

Are you really sure? The servername only should really work!
