Hello everyone:

While trying to execute the db.sql file I'm getting the following message:

MySQL said: Documentation

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '{PREFIX}authors (
username varchar(20) default null,
pass

I'm running MySQL 4.0.21-standard.

What should I do then? RTFMySQLM? Change the sytax manually? Search for another version of the db.sql file? Upgrade/downgrade MySQL? Switch to PGSQL? I would appreciate every idea.

Respect to all forum users - Piotr.

Don'T execute the db.sql file manually. Use the Serendipity installer, it does all that automatically. Just open http://yourhost/serendipity/ and everything will be automatic from there on.

It's all easier than you're thinking :)

Best regards,
Garvin
