Changing the word "comments"

I'm using Serendipity to run a very small auction with a charity that I'm working with. I want to change the word "comments" to "Bids" in the display of the posts, so that it shows "Bids (5)" when there are 5 bids, etc. I don't know quite where to do this - would it be in the comments.tpl file? Which text should be changed? I'm very scared of screwing it up.

Hi!

You can edit the language file in serendipity/lang/serendipity_lang_en.inc.php (or whatever language you are using. Maybe you even need to edit the UTF-8/... file as well).
