Problems setting my birthday

I have setup serendipity and everything appears to work fine except when I try to change my birthday and I hit save, it reverts back to 31/12/1969.

I have searched this forum and have not found any help.

Any ideas?

Hi!

Sadly serendipity seems to work with timestamps there, and unix timestamps only start on 1.1.1970, so you can't store a birthday older than that. Argh. Of course that's kind of stupid, because a birthday plugin shouldn't really do that.

Sadly reworking the plugin to not work with unix timestamps would mean to change much of it, so I can't offer an instant solution

(Except to use a different year for your birthday... )
